According to him, the agency has commenced investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the childrens involvement in the alleged offence, including the roles of their parents and teachers.

Operatives of the Kebbi State Hisbah Board have arrested 25 youths during a raid on a hotel in Argungu Local Government Area over alleged involvement in immoral acts. The Director of Shariah of the board, Sirajo Kamba, confirmed the development in a statement issued on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi. According to Kamba, the operation was carried out on July 3 as part of the boards ongoing efforts to curb social vices and promote moral values across the state. He said the raid led to the arrest of 25 suspects, comprising 12 males and 13 females.

At least 18 people from Sokoto State have died in a road accident along the SokotoYauri highway in Kebbi State while travelling home from Lagos, where they had gone in search of work. The victims were among 20 passengers travelling in an 18-seater commercial bus. The bus reportedly collided head-on with a trailer at about 11 pm on Monday, killing 18 people at the scene. Two others survived with injuries. Reports said the passengers were returning to Sokoto after spending time in Lagos in search of a better means of livelihood. A member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Bello Muhammad, said he joined others in evacuating the victims after learning about the accident.
