83 Niger Kotonkoro Jul 01, 2026 Groups of suspected bandits have reportedly been seen moving through the Mailaka axis towards Kotonkoro in Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State after an earlier clash in the area. According to security analyst Bakatsine on X, the movement followed an attack on the farm of the Mariga LGA vigilante leader, Alhaji Hashimu Kotonkoro, on the outskirts of Kotonkoro. 84 Kwara Ilorin Jul 01, 2026 Kwara State Police Command has arrested three suspected members of the Eiye Confraternity over the alleged abduction and murder of a student of Kwara State Polytechnic who was declared missing in June. The development was disclosed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kwara State Police Command, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police on July 1, 2026.
